Hoover has a top reputation in the market for the cleaning
power of its canister vacuums. Reputed to be a top cleaner
among canister vacuums (which are reputed to clean better
than their upright brethren), customers responded well to
the Hoover 3765-040 WindTunnel bagless canister vacuum with
a washable HEPA filter. As one customer explains, "the
WindTunnel is the Hoover moniker for the see-through bagless
canister that many vacuums have today." While expressing
reservations about its price point, customers rave about its
HEPA filter, variable speeds, quite operation, long cord,
bagless system, wide cleaning path, and spiffy attachments.
One happy customer ranked the Hoover 3765-040 WindTunnel
with the higher priced Dyson and Miele lines. Hoover
customers enthused at the ease of assembling the vacuum, and
the design features-handy controls, automatic carpet height
sensor, and the swift switching of accessories. Even
contented Hoover customers, however, noted that the bagless
model saved time and money buying vacuum cleaner bags, at
the risk of the homeowner's health: "with bagless vacuums,
we are exposed to the dust.... This is probably the only
point that Dyson is better at as they have a system where
one just have to push a button to get rid of the dirt."
Satisfied Hoover customers are willing to balance the vacuum
cleaner's positive aspects with others, "you do have to
empty the dirt more often, which is the biggest
inconvenience with it, but I consider this worth the time
and effort in exchange for not having to buy bags."
